Hi, Welcome to the RNA Biology Laboratory at the Department of Life Science and Biotechnology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. We actively explore the biology of messenger RNA in the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae, commonly known as Baker's Yeast. We are interested to learn the role of mRNA biogenesis and degradation in the cell nucleus in the quality control and regulation of expression of genes in the eukaryotic cells.
